As multifaceted the sport of cross-country skiing is for me, as broad are the impressions, which you get on my website. I would like to share my routine as an athlete with you, from the hard everyday training life in summer to the winterly competition phase. Have fun & enjoy!

About

I followed my heart and became a cross-country skier.

Already with the age of 4 years I got in touch with skiing for the first time, thanks to my sporty family. Since then cross-country skiing, among many other sports, has been one of my big passions. Meanwhile, I was able to turn my hobby into a career and have a lot of fun working hard for my goals!

My home always had a large impact on my career so far. The sporty environment as well as the endless and fantastic training opportunities in “Allgäu” are the best conditions to continue my ambitious journey. 

After I could experience World Ski Championships in my homebase Oberstdorf in 2021, another childhood dream came true with my nomination for the Olympic Games 2022 in Beijing. That I can call myself an Olympic Silver Medalist since then, makes me proud and motivates daily to aim for even higher goals. The FIS Ski World Championships in Trondheim 2025 are the next highlight to come, at which I will give my best to perform.

XXIV. Winter Olympics - Beijing 2022

A dream came true.

With my nomination for the XXIV. Olympic Winter Games in Beijing 2022 a childhood dream came true. The excitement was enormous despite the pandemic related circumstances. Finally I would be sleeping in the olympic village and absorb the special flair of these games from an athlete perspective.

Besides the general joy, the nervousness increased towards my first start just next to the olympic rings. The race courses as well as the weather conditions on site were very demanding. To my satisfaction I was able to finish my single races with ice cold hands but also great results. After a 17th rank in skiathlon I could confirm my good shape with a 11th finish in the sprint race.

These results secured me a place in the womens relay. It was a great honor to represent Germany in this prestigious competition. My collagues delivered to the fullest and sent me as final starter on the last laps on position 1. Nobody would have dreamt of that, it was simply fantastic. But the weight on my shoulders was enormous to finish the race with a good result and reward all of us.

Finally securing the Silver Medal for the team exceeded all childhood dreams! A finish, a competition, a day and all above a trip with the girls team that I will never forget.

I will draw on this experience until the next Olympic Winter Games and motivate myself day in day out to deliver the best I can.

My career in figures and facts. Beside mainly pleasing results, unfortunately I also already had to live through more difficult times - as for instance the 2017/2018 season, which I had to suspend due to a lengthy injury.
