As multifaceted the sport of cross-country skiing is for me, as broad are the impressions, which you get on my website. I would like to share my routine as an athlete with you, from the hard everyday training life in summer to the winterly competition phase. Have fun & enjoy!

About

I followed my heart and became a cross-country skier.

Already with the age of 4 years I got in touch with skiing for the first time, thanks to my sporty family. Since then cross-country skiing, among many other sports, has been one of my big passions. Meanwhile, I was able to turn my hobby into a career and have a lot of fun working hard for my goals!

My home always had a large impact on my career so far. The sporty environment as well as the endless and fantastic training opportunities in “Allgäu” are the best conditions to continue my ambitious journey. After the World Ski Championships in my homebase Oberstdorf in 2021, I am now fully focusing on the Olympic Games 2022 in Beijing. With my nomination the biggest dream of every professional athlete also became true for me, to be part of the olympic family. For spectacular Olympics and a further successful career, I am giving my very best every day in training.

XXIV. Winter Olympics - Peking

A dream comes true.

From 4th until 20th February the XXIV. Winter Olympics take place – and I am part of it.

With the participation in this event, a childhood dream of mine comes true. Since my early days I have dreamed about becoming an olympian and worked over many years very hard for it. It makes me proud and happy, that it becomes reality now.

Beside the special circumstances with Covid, us the athletes, will give our very best to deliver top performances and fill these games with life. Our arrival in China was dominated by enthusiasm and a very warm welcome – including lovely painted pictures by local school kids.

From now on, the countdown has started and the tension rises…

My career in figures and facts. Beside mainly pleasing results, unfortunately I also already had to live through more difficult times - as for instance the 2017/2018 season, which I had to suspend due to a lengthy injury.
